OUR PASTOR
Rev. Tony Love
Rev. Tony Love is the Director of Vibrant Communities for the Baltimore-Washington Conference of The United Methodist Church. In his role, Reverend Love assists congregations in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by creating new places for new people in God’s family.
Before joining the Conference staff, Rev. Love served as a local pastor for over 20 years. He is passionate about worship and engaging people in the community into the life of the church. He has even preached here at Cheverly UMC and knows this community and congregation well.
Rev. Love is a native of, and currently resides in, Prince George’s County. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland – College Park and Howard University School of Divinity in Washington, D.C.
Rev. Tony Love will provide pastoral coverage to the Cheverly United Methodist Church from February to June 2016. We are truly blessed and thankful to have Rev. Love join us during this time of transition.
